Every partnership we hold began with somebody approaching us.

School assemblies, water committees, savings federations, and village councils considering a ten-year agreement. Our template agreement is published in full, and you are welcome to use it to negotiate with somebody else.

What we would expect

• An institution that exists independently of us and predates our involvement
• A community assembly that sets its own priorities
• A willingness to publish accounts

Funders willing to receive a report that names what underperformed. We restated a year of our own figures in 2022 and lost two funders over it; we would rather establish this at the start.

What we would expect

• Comfort with a ten-year horizon and unrestricted or lightly restricted funding
• No requirement for exclusive branding or naming on community assets
• Acceptance that we publish failure alongside results

Universities, engineering practices, and evaluation bodies who want to examine the method rather than endorse it. Our data is available to anyone willing to publish what they find.

What we would expect

• Independent publication rights, including of unflattering findings
• No claim on community-owned data
